Apparently she forgot she created fake news!!

Of all the people in the liberal media to lecture the country on the dangers of fake news, Katie Couric is only slightly behind Dan Rather and Don Lemon when it comes to legitimate credibility. But that didn’t stop the former “Today” host from telling the New York Daily News that fake news was “tearing America apart at the seams.”

Recalling the 2016 election, Couric told the newspaper (which is, speak of the subject, one of the most flagrantly biased-against-Trump tabloids in the country) that she simply couldn’t believe all the garbage journalism that blanketed the internet.

“I remember I got sent a lot of stories from friends who were quite educated and were like, ‘Did you see this?’ And I would say, ‘Come on, you’re kidding, right? This is BS,’” she said. “We’re not doing enough of a good job of breaking down complicated issues and helping people really understand them.”

Not surprisingly, neither Couric nor the Daily News brought up the fact that she is currently facing a $12 million defamation lawsuit stemming from her own flirtation with deceptive reporting. Couric was front and center for a documentary called Under the Gun, released in 2016, which immediately fell under criticism for one scene that played out on screen much differently than it did in real life.

In the film, Couric interviewed a group of pro-Second Amendment activists known collectively as the Virginia Citizens Defense League. Couric asked the group how they could prevent felons from obtaining guns without the assistance of federal background checks, a question which is, in the movie, followed by eight seconds of silence in which the group’s members stare blankly into the ether as though Couric had just unraveled their entire philosophy of life.

In reality, the group answered her immediately and succinctly…but that didn’t serve the purposes of the anti-gun documentary.

Couric has also faced similar questions about deceptive editing with her earlier documentary, Fed Up, so to say she’s throwing stones from a glass house is putting it mildly.

I used to like Katie on the Today Show 20 years ago and then she went off the deep end and is now as bad at fake news as anybody out there just to get good ratings! That's all 95% of the media is today and it doesn't seem to matter what they do to get and/or keep those ratings high!
