Cool House Republicans come up gutless after all!

They're threatening to reject that disgusting Obama/Senate "compromise" bill and demanding spending cuts.

Nope! Had to correct this post.

Last time i looked the vote was 241 to 163 in favor of passage with 80 Republicans voting for passage.

Final vote was 257-167: Not even close.

Default not so fast.....

Looks like the House is going to pass the Senates bill. Probably took a look at their approval rating which is down to just "Friends and Family" and the friends aren't so sure now. It has passed, on the the White House.

Cool Gutless!

What is the point in voting Republican?

It's time to replace the Republican Party.

You draw a very hard line there Sachiko. Had they rejected the plan it would have been the end of all of the GOP and they knew it. They would have lost the poor and middle class probably forever. Even if their tactic was better for America in the long run it would have blown up in their faces short term and that is what would have created a firestorm.

They are all politicians…both GOP and DEMs and their mantra is survival even if it costs the voters.

I think the GOP is due for a complete overhaul or maybe even a replacement.

And what happened to Art. I, Sec. 7, Clause 1? Way to abrogate your duties, House members.

I can agree with some of what you are saying. Their inability to get a person elected to the POTUS 2 times in a row especially seeing what they were running against makes me think they have lost the ability to be relevent. I don't have time to look up and understand what you are referring to in the Clause 1 thing because the ice is calling. I'll catch up later today when I get home.

I honestly think the Dems and Obama were hoping no deal would be made, then they could point their fingers at Republicans and say "see they raised taxes on everyone" doen't matter what rthe facts are it's how it's played.
