Oh there will most likely be some justices appointed without a doubt. But, they still will not mess with our guns as they will be mostly pro-labor judges. The kind that will help quell the big money guys from bashing unions.. The dems are just smart enough to know messing with gun ownership will guarrantee them that they would be loosing elections..

I view the gun thing as a totally separate issue. It would appear to me that many but not all Democrats are in favor of more gun restrictions. I believe the opposition to the existing 2nd amendment is layered with some calling for some minor restrictions while others want to step up and call for an out right ban on private ownership. Politicians are smart and now understand that the gun issue is a career ender and skirt dealing with it in an open way. The changes are small but continue to occur and over time many of us think the small changes that go under the radar will alter the way we enjoy our sport. Banning certain guns because they might be used for something other than hunting or target shooting or raising the price of ammo to keep people from stockpiling it is flawed thinking. In reality many of the people who are against the left leaning party do so because of this one subject.

Republicans will never have a chance for the Presidency. There simply not enough white christians to ever win a Presidential election by themseves again. Unless the Republican party becomes more open, they are destined to go the way of dinosaurs.

As hunters and gun owners, we can stick with the Republicans and see our rights go away. Or, we can work to change the Republican party to be more open to other views. We don't have to give up our principles, we just need to be more open to people who might have a different opinion on an issue or two. It could be abortion, it could be gay rights, it could be illegals and how we deal with them. But, if they believe in fiscal responsibility, individual rights, and working for a living, why not welcome them?

I thought it was the duty of the SCOTUS to interpret the Constitution on legal matters, not legislate from the bench--for EITHER side.

Of course if there are more judges like ginsburg, sotomayor, kagan, etc. that believe the Constitution is a "living, breathing document" that is "open to interpretation", then they will do whatever they want. EVERY liberal on the SCOTUS is anti-gunm period. bho appointed two of them.

Just how are you able to keep avoiding these simple facts? You aren't fooling anyone with a brain.
