I don't think that the government should be in the buisness of regulating ethics or morality.
So...you are against laws that say murder, stealing, rapeand tax evasionare crimes? Incest shouldnt be a crime? Child abuse shouldnt be a crime? Spouse abuse shouldnt be a crime? Slavery shouldnt be outlawed?

Here's one vote against the law. I don't think that the government should be in the buisness of regulating ethics or morality.
I'm not sure I really understand this. Chris, you don't think the government has any business regulating embezzlement??? That is a violation of ethics and morality, that has a major impact on a large number of people, likeEnron for example. Many ofour laws are "regulations of ethics of morality!!" Thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not murder....... both legally and morally& ethically wrong!!!! Abortion really isn'tany different than murder, except you are interupting the lifecycle while the unborn child is still growing inside its mother. I believe at 10wks, they can feel pain!!!!!

Watch this video and see if your feelings change......

Warning BOTH VIDEOS ARE HORRIFYING!!!!

cma3366a The precedence is that the Supreme Court rules on what is and isn't constitutional. Agree with that or not, it IS the way it is.

So on that fact, lets say the Supreme Court judges in favor of ammending Roe vs Wade to ban abortions except for rapes/incest victims and times when the baby is severly deformed etc or the mothers life is at risk. That would ban all convenience abortions, the vast majoirty of abortions.

Agree to that compromise ? Or no ?

One more "nay" here.

ALL abortions should be illegal. ALL. That's A -L- L, all. No if's, ands, or buts about it. No exceptions.

I'm sure there are people who were born deformed or whatever who already have or will do good things for someone or society one day. You don't need an IQ 0f 180 to do good. Or, 10 fingers and 10 toes either. Catch my drift here? And rape or incest, come on. It's not the child's fault. We could hear my son's heartbeat at 8 weeks. That is well within the guideline of legal abortion I believe.

First, those video's certainly show the disgusting nature of abortion. Much like the Video's Peta was circulating a few years ago showing the horror's of the fur trade. That said, I try to keep my views as to what the government should regulate based on things other than emotion.

Do you remember living inside the womb? Any feelings of pain, joy or sorrow?

Me neither.

Like I said, I think that abortion is a disgusting act, but I do not like the idea of the government finding one more way to regulate our lives. Abortion should be a personal decision, as it affects nobody other than the mother undergoing the procedure.
I am not sure I understand your reasoning. The fact thatI (or anyone else)do notremember living inside the womb is irrelevant,we were all still living. I don't remember my first birthday party either so I guess Iwasn't really livingyet.Does that meanyou start living when your memory develops and you can remember things? Of course not. And for the recordI would argue that an abortion affects more than just the mother. How about the child in her womb or the father of the child? Don't they count? Aren't they affected?
