It was -50 last week in the Yukon but the permafrost is still melting. A cold day does not disscredit global warming. Winter still arrives every year in the arctic but the ice cap is still gettin thinner.

What about the idea of hot and cold air mixing causing more and more violent storms? Also i can remember the weather being close to -20 for over a month here and we even had areas of -50 quite common. So to get a blast of it in the winter isn't really all that bad when I look at growing up here. I can also remember hugh snow drifts that were quite common but, not right at least. I also hope not but if it does it wouldn't be to much out of place for us here.I used to wear snow shoes all the time in the woods with around 4-5 feet of snow. Right now it is around 6 inches here, but, winter has a ways to go yet. However i can see some real changes going on here.

Some places are warmer than usual, while others arehaving record lows. Sounds like regular 'ol weather to me.
"Global Warming" isn't science, it's theory at best--like the "Global Cooling" theory of the 70's. Plenty of "scientists" on both sides of the aisle.

I heard on the radio this morning that today's U.N global warming conference in New York has been cancelled due to cold... Such delightful irony...
