Yes, I think it is pretty ridiculous to deny Colin Powell status as a black because he comes from Jamaica. I'm guessing *****s were brought to Jamaica from Africa and placed into involunary servitude in Jamaica as well as the United States -- THIS is the significant shared heritage among blacks, as well as their experience of discrimination and prejudice here in the United States. I'm not saying that this hasn't changed today, but with respect to whether Colin Powell is black or not . . .

Obama threw a monkey wrench in the system a little quicker than I had planned. When Opera jumped on board, that took away her women vote. So I think she will die faster than I had thought she would. I honestly thought she would get to the big show and get beat there. Oh well, I cant be right about everything.

I think that if someone with the same type of look as Obama or Powell mugged any member of this board, they would be pretty darn quick to describe the assailant as "black" to the police, if it meant improving their chances of getting their wallet full of money and credit cards back. When it really gets down to it, folks really don't quibble about that type of things in contexts outside of sites like this.

We are if that is where life started. One thing for certain it didn't start here in America. So that puts Tiger and Barac closer to the roots ( pure blood) than you are.
