Africa Hunting

Hi There!

Just thinking of starting a conversation on African big game hunting, plains game hunting, African calibers etc. Is there anyone out there that might be interested in chatting or asking questions on African hunting. I have been hunting in Africa for more than 25 years and professionally for just over 11 years. Let's hear it!

RE: Africa Hunting

have you been over to accurate reloading website? i will say south africa price wise just doesnt get any better. i was able to hunt 6 animals in 10 days for 4200$ u.s. most made sci book.where it does get overwhelming is worrying about having the mounts done and shipped back. you can hardly find a good quality hunt for one animal in the states or canada for that price. if i had to do it again i would hunt only 2 or 3 animals taking my time and getting more video of the hunts. i did feel a little rushed and my p.h. as far as i could tell was pressured to bring the animals in everyday trophy or not. airfare was around 1200$ and taxidermy as much as the trip itself although you could just have the hides and horns mounted to save some. i was fortunate enough to hunt some very large concessions with free range kudu and impala. some of the high fence concessions were big but not my cup of tea. i have video of game jumping fences and it never felt canned but my next trip will be for free range.
