Mail order guns
 

If I was to order a gun through the mail, lets say I bought one from SIR, how long would it take to get the gun?? Has anybody here got any experience with doing this?

If, for example you ordered your gun on Monday morning, and all the registration crap wen't o.k, you should have your gun by thursday or Friday. It all depends on how you ship your gun. If, you ordered Loomis, or other courier, rush priority, you will have it in a couple of days.

plainsman, call the mail order company and ask what your options/timeframe. I have found SIR to be pretty good to deal with at the CS desk, in fact most seem to be pretty good via phone (email be prepared to wait a couple days for a reply). SIR now charge a handling fee but will not charge a dangerous goods fee that some might! My neighbour ordered some ammo from them a few weeks back it was shipped by Canpar it arrived on his door in 2 days from shipping date in S'toon(cost was 12.95 for shipping of case of ammo).

Hmmm.......sounds good, I'm thinking of ordering a shotgun through them since it's $250 cheaper at SIR than the local yocal gun dealer.
