Gun Prices Down ??
 

I was looking at the new 2004 S.I.R. catalogue and comparing prices with last years and the prices of most guns have gone down in price... Something must be wrong... Could it have anything to do with the Canadian dollar ?? Has anyone else noticed ??

Are you sure you are talking about S.I.R.? Them and cheaper prices are not usually seen together in the same sentence.

It has everything to do with the value of the dollar.

A little over a year ago, the dollar was valued at .64 US, whereas now its at .78. That means that a gun that sells for $800US cost $1250 CDN last year, but should now be $1026.

I never buy anything from SIR but I have noticed that some suppliers have dropped their prices.

True enough, though some guns are made elsewhere than US, and other currencies will be involved.
