1st Archery Moose!!!
Here is a pic of my first archery Moose. Called him in and he grunted all the way in from about 500 yards out. Shot him at just under 20 feet. Complete pass through(lungs) using a 380 gr Gold Tip tipped with 125 gr Wasp Hammer SST.
The arrow hit ribs on way in and out 2 blades were really dull and slightly bent. The 3rd blade was still in near perfect condition. Just goes to show you all the hype about arrow weight is just that....HYPE. Very light arrow passed through and found it 30 yards on the other side of Moose. He initially only ran about 15 feet than stood there for about 20-30 seconds than took off but only made it about 20 more yards and piled up. Most exciting hunting experience I have ever had...  |
