would like to get some info on what to do and not do, going to newfoundland moose hunting this fall, is there lots of moose!! best time of year to go! meat care, what to take how much of it to take ect , and what about the 7 hr boat ride, thanks all

Buddy across the street is from there, also have a few friends in Gander. Moose are like lice on a chicken there. Season is in the fall.

Not sure what they do in Newfoundland when a moose is harvested but we field dress them ASAP and then pack them with ice to cool the meat down quickly. Also , if there are ticks on the hide, we sprinkle a generous amount of black pepper on the area to get rid of them. Most ticks you will find are located under the front shoulders (armpit area).

Bring a brown paper bag and mix with you . The drinks at the bar on the ferry are a little pricy
