used guns?
 

i' m looking for a used weatherby with a big action (30-378, 338-378, 378,....). i want to use the action for a custom gun project. does anyone know of a good place to look for used rifles? do we have something like gun trader in canada?

There' s a gun show this weekend in Dauphin. I know it' s a little ways but it' s on Saturday & Sunday. It was in the Saturdays Free Press. There is a paper that' s published out of Whitehorse in Yukon. I don' t remenber the name of the paper. It was handed out at the door when I went to the gun show in Brandon. This paper has alot of adds on firearms and misc. items. It might be handed out at the gun show comming up this weekend. It' s to bad your not looking for a 300 Weatherby. I know of a guy who' s selling one. Did you check the Buy& Sell. It has alot more adds then the Free Press. Good luck.›

There' s an auction site at gunscanada.com, and a gun site with an active classifieds forum at canadiangunnutz.com.

Every couple months or so there is a gun auction in Reddeer Alberta. You can get info on many of the guns that will be there at their web site (www.budhaynesauctions.com)
They will make arrangements to take bids over the phone i believe.

Looks like the gun show ends in Calgary Easter weekend. It' s been through AB, Sask & BC but no Man. Sorry dude!

there is a small show out in anola sometime soon and there was some interesting stuff last year

That gunshow is in Dugald this weekend(April26/27) at the curling rink. I will be there Sat as my buddy usually has a table or two there. Ya never know what you`ll find.

How was the show in Anola??....I went to the one at the International Inn...what a waste of time!! Some nice stuff but the prices were outragous. Guys were selling stuff for equal or HIGHER than current market value(and this wasn' t collector or rare merchandise).Some guy had a 500 rnd box of .22lr,Winchester Wildcat for $20.00 even....same box brand new is a several bucks less at SIR,Farmers or Walmart.I' ve bought several guns at these shows in the past but haven' t found anything real exciting lately.

XTP, I never made it. I wound up helping a buddy reshingle his garage on the Sat then had family stuff on the Sunday. By the way, you are right about International Inn shows......same stuff, different table, higher price or a lot of paramilitary crap.
I wouldn`t mind finding out how the show went myself though.
