Dan,

I heard the Wolf hunting regs changed a bit this year? Hunted the Narrows area for the last 4 years(Deer) and believe you use to be able to take a wolf on a small game license. Heard its a lot more $$$$ this year

Do you hunt them over a carcess?

Wish they would open the season up here in Michigan

They changed in 2005. You have to have a small game license, like before, but you also need a tag......which is $250 each for NR.

I call them, just like a coyote. I missed 2 with the bow this year, overestimating the yardage. The first was in a pack of 12 and the other was with at least 4 others.....probably more.

I think it would be a waste of time sitting over a carcass.

Some guys here in the U.P hunt Coyotes with roadkill deer. They also use the calls and decoys, but get impatient. Predator hunts are becoming big here in the U.P Almost every gun club in the U.P sponsers one.

On a side note was that your wife on the mainpage/journals section earlier in November? That deer was a HOG. Any idea on itss weight?
