Precision Rifle Bullets

Wondering if anyone has used the bullets made by Precision Rifle, out of Anola, Manitoba, Canada? Am looking particularly at their Extreme Elite .40 C for my Traditions Pursuit LT .50 caliber. Will also post this in the "Blackpowder" sectionto see if there is any response.

Thanks.

let us know how they make out if you decide to pick some up, always looking at trying new things out

Tried the .40 caliber elites and they work real well in my gun - easier loading and good accuracy. Will probably now be my primary deer load.

Precision Extreme Elite's- .40 caliber, 240 grain, with 2 - 50 grain 777 pellets. In the field, after the shot, onepatch, spit side down, down the barrel and back up, turn patch over, dry side down and up, and then reload.

But if you're asking because perhaps you've got the same rifle, you should experiment. Iwas originally steered to Hornady's XTP's,hollow points, in 50 cal, 240 gr., by someone who also had a Pursuit LT. In my case, even on a scrupulously clean barrel, you would almost get a hernia seating the bullet. As they say, all barrels are not created equal............

I've been using the extreme elites 260 gr, with very good success in my 50 calTC encore with 100 gr of powder. I'm also using the variflame primer system, which uses the small rifle primers instead of the 209 primer.

From my Encore, I shoot PB 240 gr .40 cal over 120 grains of loose Pyrodex, ignited using the Variflame system also. I can consistantly shoot 1" five shot groups at 100 yards off the bench from a fouled bore. I have proven this system to several guys at the range over the (209 primer/pellet) combination. Once guys see for themselves how consistantly this combination shoots, they can't believe it.

I am planning to experiment with 777 and American Pioneer loose powders, to see if they will shoot as well as the Pyrodex. I believe they should be easier to clean.

I made some head shots with my 50 T/C 175 g on some tree rats.
