I believe non-residents require a guide, but I also believe anyone can go and buy a guide license? I may be wrong on that account, don't quote me

It's not difficult to come here hunting. I have a couple hundred Americans do it every year. You have to pay to bring your gun in, the proper paperwork to cross the border and a clear criminal record. All this has been discussed in about 10 threads here.

Some parts of Northwestern Ontario you have to have a guide. With moose or bear hunting you have to stay at an outfitters in order to hunt them. We don't have any deer where I am but there's a thread about deer hunting in Kenora with all the info you would need. If you're wanting to hunt moose you would have to call outfitters to see if they have an adult tag to allocate to you. And those are scarce...you have to plan ahead. The price range varies for the moose hunting but I don't believe you'll find anything much under $3,000.00. Most fly-ins are double that.
