does this happen to you?
Everytime I go hunting for something specific, I see everything else but what I'm going for. Example, summer mule deer buck hunt...all I see is snow:)20+ does, 2 giant whitetail bucks and this brute! It never fails...does it happen to anyone else???

Absolutly.
Nice thing about BC is that oftentimes species and seasons overlap, so during a new weeks of the hunting season you may actually see and have the option to shoot moose, elk, mule, and whitetail deer, all in the same region at the same time. But to answer your question, yes, this happens a lot. I recently setup a whitetail treestand and to find that it would in fact be a great moose stand? O well. Whats worse imho is when you shoot an average (125-130?) whitetail, then go mule hunting, only to see a 180 whitetail run by, BUT your tags already cut. O well, great experience, and theres always next year, right? |

Good i thought i was the only one. looks like you folks got a good slug of the white stuff out there just rainin like a beach here. Nice lookin donkey anyways you got pics of. Yes i agree this seems to happen too often for my liking also, typically it happens for me with elk and moose at least twice a year. Last year i had a bull elk screaming at me 50 yards away while i was archery moose hunting, i was just using my voice to chuckle back to him to have a lilttle fun. I was on my way out of the bush for the eveining and he followed me all the way out keeping parallel to me. This went on for close to an hour, was an awesome experience even though i was after moose. In sask we have a bit of an advantage because in many zones you can hunt whitetail in elk or moose season provided you have a tag for both species. I had a monster whitetail in during archery elk but just could not gather enoguh light in my peep for a shot so i lettem walk. Have him on video at 70 yards earlier that night though. Going after him with the rifle over thanksgiving.

Yes JD, it happened to me when I came up last year for whitetails. Other than a couple of doe at shootable range, I had two cow moose feed around me at 20 yrds for ten mins until I made them spook so they wouldn't keep the deer from coming around or do they not bother the whitetails? I think I mentioned this to you previously.
It was still very cool to watch them because I had never seen a moose before.:) Almost forgot, great pics as usual!:D |

RE: does this happen to you?
all the time. I go out grouse hunting before deer season opens and have a hard time finding grouse and once deer seasson opens it seems they are everywhere. Once in a while the 3006 fires up and takes the head of one or 2 ....
