So far we've had two bucks taken by the group I hunt with. They appear to be rutting as they're running around with that dazed college boy look in their eyes.

We've only seen 1 buck in the area we bowhunt,,, I think they killed too many bucks last year with theyre muzzleerloaders!(10 tagged out all bucks.) Did see a couple small scrapes starting last week,,, maybe things will pick up.
Also know of a buck that was killed a week ago up by your vacation spot,, it was chasing a doe.

You guys are in Ontario???
I've been out a ton and have seen no sign of the rut around wmu 62 or 76b. Lots of does feeding normally but no scrapes, rubs, or wild eyed horny bucks.

Of course we're in Ontario. Swampthing is talking about Sauble Beach and I think London. I'm talking about the Hamilton area. The bucks that we got were chasing does. I can't say the does are receptive, but the bucks are worked up.
