Any Good Alberta Outfitters
We're seeking information on Alberta Outfitters for an episode of Canadian Outfitter Television. We'll be on a "host" hunt near the Peace River area in 2006, and will have another week to film.
Can anyone recommend a good Outfitter? |
RE: Any Good Alberta Outfitters
I'm going to be hunting the Edmonton Bow Zone the second week of Nov. this year withPrimitiveOutfitters. It's owned and run by Jeff Lander who, fromwhat everyone I've spoken to says is a top of the line guide. I've done my share of homework on this type of hunt and I'm quite sure I've made a good choice with Jeff.

I'll do my best FilmGuy, I just hope it's cold enough up there. I'll be doing all day hunts so I'll have my best chance at a big one!

RE: Any Good Alberta Outfitters
A bit warmer during the day with a bit of snow will do it too. I wish you the best of luck early in!

RE: Any Good Alberta Outfitters
Thanks for the link Lynn - bookmarked your site and will get in touch with all that is advertisied. We're basically booked heading into the Eastern provinces for 2006 but will certainly set something up for the 2007 season...we want to spend a bit of time in Alberta. One of our Pro-Staff is a resident so this may open things up for us a bit.
Thanks again! |

Filmguy
If your having any problems with getting booked for 07 then email me at [email protected] and maybe I can host you for a week in the Edmonton Bowzone here. I have hosted a few others from this site and if you need references then you can call me at 1-780-463-3762. I had Ken Piper coming in this year from Buckmasters to do a shoot but had to cancel due to finacial backing. I ended up with a 180 plus 5x5 which I shot at 12 yards but ended up losing to the yotes after 2 days of searching. Happens. I'll need a year in advance notice though as I have a few interested in coming next year.If that happens then I wouldn't be able to take you asin Alberta you can onlybring in 2 out of province hunters per year , Let me know if your interested though.
