Nikon Monarch scope
I just recently purchased a .358 wssm encore and now im in need of a new scope. I am thinking about purchasing either a 3-12x42 or a 4-16x42 nikon monarch. Which scope would be the best for 250 yards and under. Any one have any input on these scopes?

I use all 4x-16x 44mm scopes.
I find them to be the most versitile, and still gather a fair amount of light.
Prefer a BDC reticle with "lines".
Burris Signature Select Level is what I use.
Also use Nikon Monarch 12x 42mm binos & Nikon 800 rangefinder - no complaints (very good for the money).

Scope suggestion for .358 WSSM
I would suggest a lower magnification scope especially for the distances you stated. My choice for that round would be Nikon's PROSTAFF Shotgun Hunter 2-7x32 BDC 200 Reticle. You can use Nikon's Spot ON Ballistic Program to really dial in the accuracy with your choice of ammo. A PROSTAFF 3-9 BDC would certainly work as well, just a little bigger scope.
