A good $200-$300 scope?
 

Is it possible to get a good scope for $200-$300, mainly for hunting Whitetail with a rifle under 300 yards?

A little more info would help...What are you putting it on? Rifle or slug gun? Your expected shooting range?

Either way I would go Leupold VX-II no question if your looking for a decently priced, good quality scope. You would fair just fine going with a Nikon as well. I'm partial to Leupold though. The matte black 3-9 is at your upper limit at $299.99. I have this on my slug gun, and my muzzleloader and absolutely love it.

Incredible scope right there and super deal. You can get the 3x9 version for even less if that works for you.

i would check out the nikon buckmasters and prostaffs if i were you.

Also, Burris Fullfield II's aren't bad.

Burris guy, but make sure to look at Votex.

I prefer leupolds but picked up a redfield revenge 3x9x40 for $179 and put it on a 35 whelen. It is doing great so far. I've passed it up and down from my tree stand on a rope and even bumped it a few times and its still on. I got the one with the range finding reticle. I haven't tried it out since eveything I've shot so far has been less than 50 yds. Good luck on your choice.
