Need Help on a Slug gun Scope

In your own opinion what is the best slug gun scope for hunting from the brush out to about 100 yds? My price limit is less than 200 on a new scope. I had the Leupold 2-7x33 in mind. Any suggestions on others?

Your choice is fine but 7X at the top is probably not required for only 100 yards. I'd put a fixed power scope on it with nothing higher than a 4 X. These are generally brighter, have ample Eye Relief and less "internals" (more durable). A Weaver 4x38 Classic K would be nice, and goes for around $135.00 @ S.W.F.A. You may also find a used Leupy or a Sightron SII 4X. Also, check the Samplelist @ S.W.F.A. for used and demo scopes. Good luck.

try looking at natchez shooting supply they have new leupolds 1x 4x20
for $199.99 & shipping they are close outs & i bought one & tried it on my slug gun & i love it. lifetime warranty& good clarity, i tried a nikon slug hunter & i swear you can't see clearly until full daylite is available
sent it back & got another one thinking it was a defective scope ;same thing sent it back also & purchased a leupold vx1 1x4x20. should of done it right the first time

A 2x7 will work fine. May not need the 7X, but certainly will not be a draw back. I have a 8 year old compact Leupold Vari-X III 1.75-6x32 that I love. It is on my 444 Marlin. Excellent "wods" set-up for me. I have had zero problems with it.

Lots of good props going out to Vortex, but I know nothing of them firsthand.

I always like the 3-9x40, better to have it so in the future if you need added power you have it. In your price range look at the Bushnell Trophy XLT

I think Bowhuntercop has good advice and my recommendation on the scope would be redfield revolution 3-9x40 plex. Excellent eye relief 4+" and very clear, not too mention Leupolds warranty.

X2. I have the same scope mounted on my Triumph .50 black powder gun and it's awesome. It's very bright and clear.
