Suggestions for the .300

It's down to the Burris Fullfield ll 4.5-14x42 with the ballistic plex reticle at $349, the Bushnell Elite, 4200 2.5-10x40 at $399 or the Sightron Big Sky Sll 3-9x42 at $381 to go on the .300 WSM. I'll be hunting coyote in semi open country and likely antelope. One of the reasons for this group is they are all in silver to match the gun and the $400 is pretty much my limit. I'd like to hear some preferences and why-----thanks, John

My order of preference would be:
Sightron, Bushy and lastly the Burris. I do like the H.H.R. on the Sightron and the climate control coating is a plus. The cutomer service at Sightron is reported to be very good (I've never had to use it though). Good luck. :barmy:

My opinion would be Bushnell, Burris, Sightron.

Of these I have both a similar Bushnell Elite 4200 and Burris Fullfield. I like the Elite much better, especially in low light. It is a bit long and heavy but the optics seem pretty dog-gone good to me for the $$$. Have no experience with the other brand that you mentioned. My Elite is on a 50 cal. Savage ML and has held up fine. Probably 125-150 shots. Not much of a duration test I know, but at least it has not shown any problems so far.

It'll probabely be the Bushnell 4200 primarily due to so much positive press. All of you have said that the 4200's are a good scope. I got to admit though, I really liked that ballistic reticle on the Burris, but then all of my shooting has been done with a plex and I'm very comfortable with it so I'd be wise to stick with it. Thanks for getting back to me with suggestions--------John

I have a Burris scope and they stand behind there products. If you have a problem with them they will fix it for free. I have had my Burris on several different rifles and it has worked great. Bushnell also makes a good scope and there are fairly inexpensive. Don't know about the others, just my 2cents.

I like them all. I prefer the Elite over the other two you have listed. I have a 300 RUM that I just put a Nikon Monarch 2.5 X 10 X 42 BDC on. I like it very much as well.
