I've never used one, but Kahles has the reputation of being an excellent scope.

They are excellent. I had a CL 3-9 X 42 but ended up selling it... I didn't want the 3rd turret parallax adjustment. The only "issue" I potentially see is warranty work. Right now, Kahles does not have a U.S. Distributor so it would have to be shipped across the pond...if that were to ever come up. The T.D.S is a great reticle. I have one in an older Swaro AV model.

I have had 3 Kahles scopes. Sold one. Gave on to a bud. Still own one. These have proven to me to be excellent scopes. Durable, clear, crisp and a good value, though rather pricey as scopes go. The one I gave away ... an odd ball sort of variable ...2.2-8x42mm, 30mm tube with aheavy plexreticle was one of the best scopes I ever had.

I have heard that they were bought by Swarovski but were still being made in the same plant as they were previously. They have an excellent reputation.
