does anyone know anything about Intensity Optics? they look like the old Simmons Aetec scopes (they bought simmons) The prices are very good on these and was considering a 3x9 or 4x12 for my 30.06.

I thought Mead bought Simmons, but they might have sold them off. I would not recommend buying a cheap scope. Save your money and put $150+ into it. I, personally, wouldn't go less than $250 for a Bushnell 4200 especially if you are going to be hunting at early dawn or late dusk light. Most of the cheap scopes, you will be able to see a deer with your naked eye better than the scope.

How about Nikon? You can buy a Nikon 3X9X40 Team Primos for $179.95, suppose to be the Monarch but made for Primos.. A lot of good deals on here.

That's one thing I like about my Burris. Especially in low light I can see a lot better than I can with my naked eye. However, my Simmons on my .22 is pretty clear too as is my Tasco and honestly when it's dark out you can't hunt anyway. Well, shouldn't be.
