RE: Remington 700 7mm Mag - Leupold VX-II 3x9-50
I had a varix2 on my 7mm rem mag BDL. The scope is very good. I got a deal on a varix3 3.5x10x50 to top my 7mm Rem. mag. I haven't even sighted in the vari x3 yet.
I just replaced the stock recoil pad with a sims limbsaver.
The vari x2 3x9x40 is on top of my TC Triumph muzzleloader.
The other day I was out till last shooting light. I looked through the Vari x2 and there was adequate light for a shot. Although, no deer in sight.
Like Stalkingbear says,"The 50mm objective offers no more light."
The Vari x2 scope in 40mm is a good investment.
Leupold also threaded my Objective on this pre-2004 scope. Great customer service.
*Leupold started threading the new scopes in 2004 when we also introduced the new Alumina threaded accessories. If your scope was manufactured prior to 2004 it is not threaded to accept the new Alumina accessories.
We are able to thread the front objective and the eyepiece of your scope.
We are now offering the Threaded Installation Service at a charge of $49.99, plus $15.00 shipping and handling, if an Alumina Accessory is purchased and you cut out the Original Alumina proof of purchase UPC Code from the accessory package (One Original Alumina proof of purchase UPC Code Per Scope). Send your scope, the Original Alumina proof of purchase UPC Code, payment by check or credit card and your letter of instruction requesting the threaded installation. Service is now taking
3 weeks in the factory Product Service Department.
