Rimfire scopes
I just picked up a new .22 I threw on a 4x32 scope I had around the house. I'm looking for recommendations on a better 4X32 scope ?

RE: Rimfire scopes
I've got this one: http://www.opticsplanet.net/nikon-riflescope-prostaff-4x32.html
I know you can spend quite a bit less, and quite a bit more. I'm not too sure, however, that you'll be able to get much more for your money. I'm extremely pleased with this scope. What make/model is the scope you put on there for now? FC |
RE: Rimfire scopes
How much better? What kind of money do you want to spend? And it might be easier to find a variable than a fixed power now a days. I would go for a 1.5-4 myself.

RE: Rimfire scopes
You may find that to be perfectly serviceable. If you do want to check out other scopes, though, be sure to bring that one with you for as abaseline comparison.
I know guys who are happy with $15 to $30 scopes on their rimfires, and I've heard of guys who put $300+ scopes on their rimfires. Those scope mfgrs will take all of the money you're willing to throw at 'em!:D FC |
RE: Rimfire scopes
I put a Burris 4-12x33 compact w/target knobs on my CZ 453. Usually keep it on 4x when squirrel hunting but can crank it up to 12 when you need to get up close & personal for that head shotor when at the range trying to shoot those ety bity groups. Love it.
I've also got Burris 3-9x40 Balistic Plex scopes on both of my 7mm-08's. I guess you could say I'm sold on Burris scopes. IMHO,you get a lot of value for the moneywitha Burris. firstshot ----------------------------- Make your first shot count! |
