Side Focus/adjustable Objective
 

Does the side focus do the same thing as an ajustable objective? If not whats the differance?

Yes, it does the same thing, except it is easier to reach, and it focus' the objective lens to adjust for parallax at longer distances.

But it accomplishes the same correction, just in a different maner.

I own two of the new Nikons, and they have the side focus .... 4-16 x 42 and a 5-20 x 44 ad the side focus is great and it has the ability to lock into place. I really like the new monarchs.
