I bought my 1st ar-15 today, and was wondering if anyone had any expirence with some of the lower priced red dots (aimpoint, bsa, truglo,etc). Thanks

save your money. The Army has the Aimpoints, and although they are accurate when used, they are not well made. It does not take much to jack them up.
If you can afford it get an ACOG. If not, then save up and buy one. You will be MUCH happier.

I put a BSA on my AR. Hands-down, the very worst $20 I've ever spent. Blurry, & the non-adjustable dot is bigger than a 6" target @ 100 yards. Absolutely unusable. I stuck on a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40, and now I'm quite happy.

I just bought a Truglo for my turkey gun, didn't get a chance to sight it in yet.

I ended up getting a tru-glo. It's alright. I may try it on one of my 835's or a 10/22 as well.
