Nikon Riflescope and Spotting Scope
 

I have two questions. The first is I am wanting to put a BDC scope on my encore muzzleloader. I have narrowed it down between the Nikon Omega 3-9X40 and Nikon Monarch 2.5-10X42. I was wondering how the reticle from the Monarch lined up as far yardage is concerned(cross hairs right on, first circle is at 100 yds, next circle at 150yds, next at 200, etc). I have heard the Nikon Omega is really close or right on to the actual yardage claimed on the box. Any other input comparing the scopes would be great.

I am also looking to get a spotting scope. I have seen reviews for the Nikon Prostaff. I am leaning towards getting the 20-60, since I am moving to Kansas soon and plan on hunting antelope. I think Nikon also came out with angled eye piece recently too. Has anyone had one of these scopes or have any other suggestion on another scope I should consider?

I can’t comment on the Nikon spotting scope but I do have an angled eye piece on one of my spotting scope and don’t care for it when I have it installed for shooting from the bench , however I do like using it for scanning fields for wildlife...

I have the omega 3x9x40 on my triumph and I love it. Im sold on Nikon scopes now. I havent shot past 150 yards to see how the BDC works, but at 150 it was dead on.
