Zeiss conquest scopes question
My brother in law just bought one. I was real impressed with this scope. Is this a good scope for there price range? I have always bought Leupolds but I might have to give one of these a try.

RE: Zeiss conquest scopes question
The Conquest is a very nice rugged scope. Before I purchased mine, I compared it side by side to a Leupold VX III. My eyes liked the Conquest much better. I also like my Sightron Big Sky 3-12x 42mm. It is light/compact and has many nice features.

RE: Zeiss conquest scopes question
I recently put a Conquest on a Ruger No 1 and couldn't be happier. I own several Leupys and believe they have priced themselves out of the market. The Conquest is a far better value then Leupold. The Conquest is everything the VX-3 is and more at a better price in my opinion.

RE: Zeiss conquest scopes question
I agree with the others. IMO the conquest is among the best bangs for your buck, the best in its class at present from my comparison. Optically it performs with scopes costing more. The 3 have been rock solid after being put through the paces. Highly reccomended:)

I have always bought Leupolds but I might have to give one of these a try. I had a packhorse step on my rifle while loading the quarters of my elk in October. The scope held its zero perfectly. I've never heard of anyone who wasn't just THRILLED with their Conquest. FC |
RE: Zeiss conquest scopes question
Compared to my vxIII,I find the conquest brighter in low light conditions.

RE: Zeiss conquest scopes question
I have the 3.5x10x50 conqeust the clarity is exceptional,BUT I was muzzle loading last night it was pretty nasty here in mich. I was setting in the tree stand and had my lens caps on that came with the scope to keep the falling rain and snow off the lens and when I got back home my eye piece was fogged up that should not have fogged up,I may have to send it back in...............Ted

RE: Zeiss conquest scopes question
I have Conquests in 2.5-8, 3-9, 4.5-14, and 6.5-20 and will put any of them against any scope on the market in their price range. My eyes love them.

RE: Zeiss conquest scopes question
The only scope I'll purchase now will be a Zeiss,I have 2 a 3-9-50mm and 4.5-14-44mm,execelent quality optics |
RE: Zeiss conquest scopes question
I know you directed you question towards Zeiss scopes but I have 2 Swarovski scopes. One is the 3-10 x 42mm and the other is 4-12 x 50mm. I tested them one evening while the sun was setting with both scopes set at 6x and couldn’t see much difference between the two when looking at deer at a distance in my field. Just a little observation I made between the two for what ever it’s worth...My 2¢...
