Default Spotting scope info!!!??? PLEASE HELP

I will be buying a new spotting scope in the near future and need some advice. I have about $500 to spend so my butget tight. So far I have narrowed it down to a Fujinon 20-60X60mm, and a Vortex (Don't really know the dinensions but they run about the same price). I would appreciate any help or other suggestions. This will be my primary spotting scope for some time so I need to make the right choice

Thanks and be safe.

I don't have any experience with either of those scopes. In that same price range, I've used the Nikon scopes and have been pleased with them. Good luck.

If I were in the market for a new spotting scope I would seriously check out the Pentax PF65ED. It is ED glass and has a great picture. It is fairly light and if you shop around you can sometimes pick it up for around $599. I would check with Doug at cameraland to see if maybe he has any demos or when he might get some in. Here is the site:

www.cameralandny.com

He is great to deal with and he will tell you straight up what he thinks.

Thanks much gentlemen for the replys I am going to look into both the nikon and pentax closely. I havea pair of pentax dcf sp's 12.5X50 bino's and love them. I have yet to test out their spotting scopes but hope to do so soon.

The Pentax ED scopes get very high marks, some say they are the best glass.

I recently bought a Leupold Wind River green ring 15-45x60 scope and I love it. I gets very mixed reviews though. It's one of those love it or hate it products. I loved it, so I bought it. I paid $256 shipped at opticsplanet.com.
