If you only had $200 to spend on Binoculars?

What would you buy? I'm looking for something to use for deer season only. I hunt in the Sandhills of Nebraska and will do most of my glassing in the wideopen prairies.

I'm thinking of something in the 8 to 10 power range.

I have tremors and shake a little that's why I'm not looking at something bigger than 10 power.

Bushnell Excursions? Nikon Actions series? Sightrons? Do you have any recommendations?

If I had only 200 I would go with the Vortex Diamondbacks. You owe it to yourself to check them out. It's an unbelievable value for your money. I would talk with Jayhawk or any of the other Vortex dealers on here. I used to have a pair of their Vipers and they were the best you could get for around 4-500 hands down... Just my opinion...hope it helps

The Diamondbacks are the best bino in that price range on the market today. Alot of people think they are just as good at the Nikon ATB's.

Check out my website. You can buy straight from there.

Some of the Alpen's I've seen seem to have pretty good quality glass for the money. As long as you're shopping around, give them a look.

I would go with the Nikons. I have a pair of the Nikon Action that zoom and are 10-22X50. Super clear and much cheaper than $200. I haven't had any problems with mine and if I had to buy another pair, I would be happy getting the same ones I have now.

I have the Nikon Action bino's and I love them!! Of course, it could be just me, because I have always used cheap Bushnell's so getting these were quite a step up for me. But I really do like them.

I would go with VortexDiamondbacks ...Vortex has really sharp optics, i believe you would be really surprise if you compared them to Nikon.

Better check out Carson's YK 500 10X42 retail $150 for camo and $130 for black. I have a pair and I am a Nikon man butI swear Nikon is not one cent better in quality.

I have a pair of Alpen Shasta Ridge 8X42 that I use for 3D shoots & Hunting & to me they are the best..

Give Alpen a look, I know that they have some models like mine that are within your price range...

Many good binos in this price range have been mentioned here. I would like to throw another vote in for the Vortex brand of binos. I have owned several of their bins and have been entirely impressed with the optical quality versus price performance level. Their warranty is also superb. Repair or replacement no questions asked. You cannot beat that.
