I would like to know what you guys think of these scopes? I'm very unfamilar with these scopes. I browsed there website very briefly and looked at this 4x14 50mm with a 30mm tube listed at $995.00. Is this scope really worth spend all that money?

These scopes(at least the 1s I've mounted for customers) are a1. They are tactical/LE type and the pds that have purchased them seem to be very well pleased.

Can't say I have heard about em. Does anyone know who makes thier glass? Or parent company?

Yes they were Romanian made under State control until the people took their Dictator out for a one way walk in the garden.[now it's been privatized] They made lens for the East German plant Carl Zeiss Jenna needI say more.Another sleeper is the Czech firm of Meopta awesome lens and clarity.Harold

They are very high-quality scopes, made with quality glass. I also like their reticle choices for long-range shooting.

ridgerunner is correct. IOR does not make thier own glass. They use Schott Glaswerk of Germany (as does Zeiss) and I think they use the same coating as Zeiss. IOR has been around since the '30's. What with WWII and being in a commie bloc nation for a long time, we have only been able to get them in the west since the fall of the Berlin Wall. They are the largest producer of millitary optics in the world. I have 2 pairs of binos (7x35 and 10x40) These are very well made and extremely tough glasses. I first heard about them in the mid to late 90's when an American company (in CO, I think) called Valdada started importing them. They used to have a 3-9x40. Back then the Dollar was very strong and IOR's pricing was pretty low. But still at thier prices currently, they are a bargain. The image quality is very good and the scopes are VERY tough. Did you read the reviews on the IOR Valdadawebsite? You might ask IOR, SWFA, etc if they would be willing to let you return the scope if you don't like the view. Good luck

I had one. They have very good glass and sight picture. My only complaint, and the reason I sold mine, was the eye relief. I need longer eye relief and IOR doesn't give much. MV out!
