Nikon vs. Burris vs. Bushnell

I am currentlydeciding between these three scopes. A Nikon Buckmasters 3-9x40 with the BDC reticle, the Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40 with the Ballistic Plex reticle and the Bushnell Elite 3200 3-10x40 with the Multi-X reticle. All of them are competetively priced. I would like opinions on the quality of the glass, the lens coatings and the ability of the scope to stay on zero while riding on the back of a 7mm Rem Mag. I am already pretty much set on these three.

Any help is appreciated and I know that you guys probably get tired of all of the vs. threads so just bear with me!

You won't go wrong with any of them.

I recently checked-out a FFII, and was quite impressed by it. However, I didn't compare it to the 2 you mentioned, so I can't give it a nod or a slam.

Just to complicate things, I believe the Nikon Monarchs are being closed-out at many places at prices that are almost even with the Buckmasters. My understanding is that the Monarchs are a goodly jump in quality.

In any case, your eyes are the ones that count. I'd recommend checking them out (after focusing each for YOUR eyes!) at twilight at an outside target. I parked my car 300 yards away from the door, & put a recently shot target in the window. The scope I chose showed the bullet holes more clearly than the others.

Good Luck!

honestly can't say I have used the burris or the Bushnell, but I have used the Nikon and it is very, very clear. Extremely nice scope!

I have heard good things about the Nikons and Burris, but own a Bushnell 3200 and it has been great on my .300 win mag, so biased and picked the Bushnell.

Of the three, I would pick the Buckmaster. But at the prices Monarchs are going for right now, that's what I'd be topping my rifle with.

Thanks for the votes and words guys. I think I am going to take some advice and pick up a Nikon Monarch. I just got my new truck last night ('07 F-150 STX) so I can actually go out and pick up the new scope!

Once again, thanks for the help!

I'm not too sure about the other two, but the Nikon is a very impressive scope for the price. I love the ones I have. You definitely won't go wrong in choosing the Nikon. Good luck.
