RE: Ziess Conquest
They are the best optics for the money in my opinion, and I have several. If you shop around, you might find a better price (I paid $375 for my last 3-9x40), but $399 with free shipping is a pretty good deal.

I just bought one at that price from Optics Planet. I had compared it to the Swaro AV series, the Bushnell Elite 4200, a Leupold VXIII, and found it to be better overall, & best for the $$$.
Do a search around here, & you'll be hard pressed to find a discouraging word about 'em.

I have four 6.5x20x50 Conquests, all of them on rimfires and they do a good job. All have the plex reticle and quick adjustable target turrets and consider them a good value.
I am looking right now for a scope with a mil dot or range finding reticle. The Zeiss 6.5x20x50 MDscope is in the running along with the Leupold 8.5x25x50 MK 4 M1 and the Swarovski 6x24x50 TDS PH. I have about 2 weeks to decide

Zeiss conquest isOK for it's price but it is the cheapest no-frills scope from Zeiss. I prefer Leupold VX-III in this price class. I have a Zeiss 6-24x56 diavari victory with illuminated mildot, fantastic scope but sadly expensive...
