SPOTTING SCOPE CAMERA ADAPTERS
I am debating(with myself) about upgrading my spotting scope. I would like to be able to take pictures with the new spotter. I have spent several hours on the web, trying to find a good site that would explain the available options. I have not been able to find any good information. Does anyone have any good links, or good information? Or any good recommendations? Thanks, Tom.

RE: SPOTTING SCOPE CAMERA ADAPTERS
Tom,
Probably the easiest way to connect any spotting scope with a digital camera (assuming it has a threaded hole for mounting underneath) is to use a Universal Digiscoping Adapter. They can be found at places like Adorama, B&H Photo, etc... I will try to provide a link to one below. ![]() http://www.telescopes.com/products/zhumell-universal-digiscoping-adapter-small-36562.html Using a digital camera with a spotting scope is referred to as digiscoping. You might find more info via google, etc... if you use that term. By far the most informative site I have found on the various techniques, equipment, etc... is http://www.birdforum.net/forumdisplay.php?f=243. If there is anything specific you would like to know I will do my best to help you. I have some experience with it. |
