Which Low Budget Scope, I know, I know...

Ok guys I know your going to tell me to save up for it, but I just can't bring myself to spend hundreds on a scope. Plus I just can't afford it. So, out of the following low budget scopes, which would you choose and why? Going to go on a TC Omega.

Simmons Master Series Prosport
Tasco World Class
Bushnell Banner Dusk & Dawn
BSA Deer Hunter

Hey I am not going to tell you to spend any money that you can't aford to. Some people don't "need" a $400 scope, they just "want" it. Big Difference. As I have said before, it is the "mine is bigger" "mine is better" "mine cost more" mentality. I personally don't think the high dollar scopes are for everyone, especially if it doesn't fit your budget. I currently use a Bushnell sportsman 3-9x40 on my .17 HMR and no problems yet. I also happen to like it a lot. I actually don't have any of the scopes you mentioned, but one of my friends has a Banner on his .243 and he really likes it, so that may be worth looking at. I know before this thread is over at least one person will suggest "save your money blah, blah, blah" but if you don't have it or can't get it easily then get what you can afford. Good Luck.

I would second the Bushnell Banner. I have used one on my 336 Marlin .30-.30 and it has worked very well, but no bells and whistles. I have had problems with a Simmons, have heard mixed responses to Tasco and can not comment on the BSA.
A banner should hold up for you on a Omega.

I have the Banner. Foraround$129, the Nikon Prostaff 3-9X40 is much clearer. It's so clear that it looks the same out of theglass as my scopes costing twice as much. Should be able to get the 2-7X32 for around $113.

Try

I would second the Nikon ProStaff. I have ordered from the Optic Zone and would recommend them to anyone. They are fast, friendly and helpful. They have a 2-7X32 ProStaff for 109+ shipping.

You can also check out ebay. I bought an Omega 3 years ago and found a NIB Leupold VX-I, 2-7x33 for a little less than $100 on ebay. You could also check out the forums and classifieds over at 24 hour campfire. There are a lot of good scopes and other shooting/hunting itemsthat are sold and traded on that site.

Bushnell Banner out of those choices.
Also consider...
Nikon Pro Staff
Bushnell Legend
Pentax GameSeeker...This model is actually pretty impressivein LOW light.
Stay away from Tasco and BSA
I have seen many Simmons fail.

Out of those 4 scopes I own 3 of them (I do not own a Simmons) but I like my Bushnell Banner the best of those 3 by far.

If you can swing a Pentax Gameseeker or a Nikon Pro Staff, they are the way to go.
