Varmint Scope

I know another help me pick a scope question but I just don't know which one to pick, so let me get your vote on a varmint scope, or any suggestions on a scope but my bugget is tight so I can't go over $200 and closer to $150 would be better and I know I shouldn't skimp out on optics but its either that or no rifle....not even a question!!!lol Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated, thanks. Happy New Year!

I wouldn't buy any of the ones you mention...sorry.

I would, however, take a look at these:

i have the tasco target 10-40X50 and the tactical 10X mildot. i've been pleased with them for quite some time. pretty good for a cheap scope. most of the scopes i have bought recently are leupold fixed powers and vx-111's. i also just ordered a nikon monarch 65.-20X40 for my 22-250 encore. if i planned to buy a cheap scope again i would probably go with mueller. they make some excellent scopes for the money.

save up more money. You'll be happier. This best scope for the money that I know of is a Weaver Grand Slam:

Bushnell elites are super too:

I second that. I have that scope in black on my Rem. VLS and find it’s excellent for the price...;)

For $200 is tough, but Maine Vue Optics has a 6-24x50AO comes with a sun shade, and screw on lens caps. Seen them in couple gun shops in Maine for $200. Guys have been whacking coyotes left and right with them up here. I use their 3-12x50AO myself. Good warranty, and as clear as Leupold's glass. www.mvoptics.com

For roughly $220 or less (they're $209 at optics zone), you should be able to find a Bushnell Trophy 6x18x40AO (Japan). It is a far better varmint/targetscope than anything Simmons, BSA or Tasco has on the market. A buddy had two of them on M700s and was happy with them. Considering all of his other rifles had Leupolds, some of which cost over $700, figure the econo-Bushnellsmust be ok.

:)

Just bought one myself, for $193 on sale last December at a local gunshop (regular price was $214). I have older Tasco varmint scopes that were made in Japanthat have never given me any problems, buthave no use for their Chinese stuff. Thought Tasco might move up a notch after Bushnell took over the name, but havne't heard much positive yet.

Another vote for the bushnell. My varmint rigs sport a buckmaster 6x18x40 sf and an elite 3200 5x15x50.
