Bases and Scope Rings for T3...

I know very little about Bases and scope rings, so hopefully somebody can help me.

I recently just got back from a hunting trip where my riflescope would not remain sighted in. At first I thought it was the scope itself until I further inspected to find out one of the screws that holds the scope ring in it's place was missing. I believe these bases and scope rings were made by the manufacturer (Burris). I'm now looking for a better base and set of rings to use so that I don't have to worry about the scope.

I will be changing scope as well. Not that there's anything wrong with the Burris, but I know myself well enough to admit I will never be able to have confidence in this scope again. So, preferably, I would love to find a base and set of rings that will work with other brands.

Thanks for any advice.

p.s. If anybody in Canada is looking for a Burris Fullfield II 3-9 illuminated LRS Ballistic Plex reticle let me know.

Other brands of scope I hope. Rings for 1” scope will fit all scopes with a 1” tube. Have you looked at Optilock system...?

Thanks trailer. I've heard a lot of good things about the optilock system. I will be taking a close look at them.

Yes, I will be moving to another brand scope. It's more me than the scope. I think and have been assured that there's nothing wrong with the scope; but the problem lied in the mounting bases. That said, I know I'll never be able to get over this and the last thing I want is to be out in the woods and not be 100% confident that my scope is spot on.

Thanks again

I have a set of Optilock on one of my rifles and they are nice but the only thing is that they set the scope a little high. The lowest rings will handle up to 56 size objective lens. You can also get Leupold rings but I have no experience with them and have never seen any. I also have a set of Conetrol rings on another rifle and this set bring the scope nice and low especially if you have 40 mm obj. lens. Once you have your scope set properly and secure you’ll keep in mind but will chalk it up as another learning experience...
