RE: Scope recommendation?
Red lion,I am a newbie beingI bought mine this spring. Shoot with a few and hunt with a savage pusher, so needed to get me one. It sure lays the smack down on deer,2 does hit the same spot where the heart meets the lungs both were whap..down! I still enjoy the others and my flinter as well but wanted something completely different...ML's are a blast IMHO.

RE: Scope recommendation?
Just got back from Cabela's 'bargain cave' and had a opportunity to look at several scopes for a slug gun (H&R Ultra slug hunter). I looked ata Leupold Vari-X II, Burris, and a Nikon Monarch. I took them all to the Mule deer museum and looked through all 3. According to my eye, it was Leupold > Nikon > Burris...They were all under $200.

RE: Scope recommendation?
Ditto to what renfrowridgesaid. I would get the Nikon Omega with the BDC reticle. I plan on getting one for my Encore after this season. They are $200 at optic zone.
