Nikon, Nikon, Nikon.... I own 3 scopes, binos, and a rangefinder by Nikon. All are great. 2 Scopes are 15 years old and still going strong and look new. I would suggest the 4 x 12 x 50 mm side focus Nikon Buckmaster. I bought one last year for 285.00 and it is great. Try this link : www.durhamoutdoorsupply.com . They have good prices and free shipping on a lot of stuff.

Good Hunting and God Bless.

Pro Staff

Buckmaster

My Browning .223 has a one, and I have nothing but praise for it.

A 3x9x40 Buckmaster will run about $230 and the Prostaff about $150. On a nice rifle like that I would save up a little bit more and put either a Bushnell 4200 or a Conquest.

why a thumbs down for the pro staff?
Lenses andcoating aren't as good as Buckmaster, and don't transmit as much light.Buckmaster has a better reticle adjustment mechanism that doesn't have any play and keep the reticle from creeping.
