x-bow class question
I've been an IBO member for a short time and been shooting 3-D for only a couple of years. I frequent other forums on the net, and talk to many crossbow hunters who would like to try 3-D but have crossbows that slightly exceed the 190# draw weight (200#ers). Why doesn't IBO drop the weight limitation and just go with a maximum velocity? I tried contacting IBO and got no response an how to suggest or recommend rule changes, how does one get a rule changed?

RE: x-bow class question
Wabi,
I'm not exactly sure what the thinking was behind both the weight and speed stipulations. I do know that I would not expect any speed changes, but I can't say about the weight. I'll ask the question direct when Ken and the IBO staff return from Georgia. Formally if you want to see a rule changed, place your request in writing along with reasoning and as much pertainent information that you can gather. Submit it to the IBO at P.O. Box 398 Vermilion, Ohio 44089, or e-mail it to them at [email protected]. FYI, any rule changes normally are considered at their fall directors meeting after the conclusion of the Worlds Championship. Hope this helps. |
RE: x-bow class question
bluejacket,
Thanks for the reply. I emailed IBO a couple of weeks ago, and got no response. I'll see if I can get an email to them again, and see if I can get a few other people who would like to see the weight restriction dropped or changed to email them. wabi |
