IBO HC rules
Does anybody out there know the rules for the HC class reguarding arrow weight and let off. I have read the rules posted on the IBO sight and there is no mention to those two subjects.Does the five grain rule also apply to this class? And is 80% letoff legal in this class for IBO shoots? I would hate to drive a long distance to a shoot only to find out that I have the wrong equipment. It is more fun being a participant than a spectator.

RE: IBO HC rules
Arrow must weigh 5 grains per pound of draw weight,or your bow cannot shoot faster then 280 fps, there is no rule for letoff.I think(?)you can either declare arrow speed,or arrow weight,if you go with the speed,I think its not over 280fps.You can get the rules at www.IBO.net

RE: IBO HC rules
Hello Ken, Thank you for your time to reply to my message. Am I correct to assume that if a restiction is not put on a class that the IBO rules are the ones to follow? Thus meaning that the hunter class is under the 5 gr. or 280 fps rule as you specified since it does not state otherwise. Would I be correct in my assumption?

RE: IBO HC rules
Elkcrazy8,
You have got it right. Some of the rules are broad based covering all classes such as the 5gr/lb vs 280 fps rule. Other rules are class specific such as sights or stabilizer legth. You as a shooter must be aware of not only the rules specific to your class but also those concerning all levels of competition. If you or anyone else have any other specific questions, just continue asking. There are plenty of people around to help keep you on track. |
