CyberTec Ready!

Well my CyberTec is done. I got a set of GoldTIp 5575's with a 75gr tips they total 358gr @ 27 1/4 " long. After paper tuning and tweaking my rest the CyberTec produced a 280fps speed @ 70lbs.

Am I done? Or should I tweak it untill I hit 300fps? No, I think 280fps is fine for me. Thanks to all for all the info, and help on setting this bow up. I am looking forward to an exciting year to come!!!

That is wierd the advertised IBO is 304 fps on that versa cam at a 30" draw, 70 pounds, and a 350 grain arrow. In my experience 1 inch of draw loss in only about a 7-8 fps loss of speed. That would put you at 296ish at worst. Are you sure that your poundage is 70 and that the arrow weighs 358 grains?

My VorTec has a SaberCam (303 IBO) and I was getting 280 at 63 pounds and a 346 grain arrow at 30" draw. ???

304 at IBO specs, he is running 1 inch short, so down to 294, plus 8 gr over, so down around 292, he is now 12 fps off. What is on the string? peep, rubber tube aligner, cat whiskers etc, etc etc.

He is very close to what can be expected.

Well beating around some ideas I some to One of two conclusions.

1 The scale I used to weight it is off.

2 the chronograph needs calibration

So this is what I am going to try tonight, I am going to crank the limbs until I get 71lbs draw then back it off in small increments until I get 70lbs.

If I don't gain any speed then cool, Saturday I will test it on another scale to be sure the other one is accurate. And if I can find another Chronograph I will reshoot it too.

As far as stuff in the string I have nothing but a nock and peep. and it is one of those real small peeps at that. That wont stay straight!

Thanks Guys!

Ok, Update I have been able to get 286 FPS out of my CyberTec This is How and Why.

My versa Cam is set to Cam Position C and stop peg 3

If H = 30" then Cam Position C = 27 1/2 " Stop Pin 3 = 80% let off

But in my frustration I moved the stop pin from postion 3 to 4. My owners manual says that will lengthen my draw 3/16 of a inch. this is how I hit 286fps. I looked on there chart and position C and pin 4 is not there but it works and 6 fps faster even.

So the Final numbers are

Draw = 27.7" Weight = 71lbs Arrow = 358gr Speed= 286Fps
