Default just my thoughts

This was my first worlds, and only my second time shooting 3d. I shot HR Trophey, and had a good time. I was pretty mad when the shoot got called, but I definitely am not fond of the threat of lightning. All in all I had a good time, and I plan on being there next year. It was definetley better than working.

for putting recurve shooters behind senior mbo and crossbows. Thought I was going to fall asleep waiting at each target.

[] Also thought it odd that kids under 13 years old were out there alone. Cant they afford to send a moderator out with each group. Couldnt be more than 15 or so groups.

[:' (] The communication sucked! One of the guys I was with was shooting MBO and he didnt know if he was going to shoot on Sunday until after 7:00 Saturday night.

[:@] Why in the world was there a course where the first quarter of it was all straight up the hill (Course O)?

Sounds like there is not going to be quite as many people there next year. Thats to bad, they will miss out on a good time. But at least the parking might not be as tight then.

one of the reasons they were there alone might have been the fact that there is a charge to accompany shooters on the course. How is that justified? Where does that money go? What is the point?

I would like to know where it goes to. You know the IBO will tell you " It' s for the ski lifts, I heard that 3 times over the weekend. well if thats so what about the nationals. People were charged for going out if not shooting. There were no ski lifts and no kind of shuttles. What' s up with that? [X(]

You would think the kids under a certain age should have some adult supervision, at least one adult per 4 in a group. But never the less to pay to watch your kid shoot is obsurd.[X(]

I totally agree with you mwebb. There should be no charge for a parent or guardian to accompany his child will he is shooting. I you boy or girl under the age of 16 in this state is not permitted to hunt by his or herself but yet we will send a group of them out together to shoot. Doesn' t make much sense to me. I have never seen it posted in any rule book or flyer that there was a $10 fee to walk the range with your child. Just an other occasion of not having rules down in writing. I have been to 4 national shoots now and my dad has went with me to all four. He has went to go with my boy and twice he has been charged the $10 and twice he has not. I guess it all depends on what mood they are in at the time.[:@]

They didn' t charge for parents to walk with their child if they were 12 and under! I walked with my 9 year old at all the Nationals and the World and never spent a dime.I suppose if you didn' t tell them you were walking with a cub they would charge you a walking fee.
