Team USA
Today our team represnting the U.S.A leaves for France to compete in the first FITA 3-D World Championship.
The team is Bill Leslie for Traditional Hunter, Francisco Flecha Recurve Barebow and Bob Eyler Mens Compound.
The shoot is a team format with a memnber from each discipline.
Good shooters and good people that will represent us well to the world.
Good luck Gentlemen.

Good question, Bob, I would like to know that myself.
I happened to shoot with Francisco Flecha at one of the Triple Crowns, not sure which one, I think it was Indiana. Never saw anyone shoot barebow that good before.

RE: Team USA
The answer to how was " very quick"
We did not anticipate the sanction of a world championship this year. Rules were adopted by FITA on July 5-6, this year. They sanctioned the World Championship Team Event the same weekend.
Francisco and Bill were picked as a result of their Triple Crown placement. They also were able to get expedited passports. Bobby was on the list and also able to get an expedited passport.
They were gracious and worked very hard at getting ready to go in a real short time frame.
Three weeks notice is not the best way and time frame to get into the mind set to compete for a World Championship.
I am confident they will do us proud in the first FITA 3-D World Championship.

RE: Team USA
I' m sure that these guys will do us proud, but I am concerned about the way that were appointed to be the US reps over there. Especially since not many people even knew that there was to be such a shoot. Where are our pros on this list, wheres the Dave Cousins, Jeff Hopkins, Chance B., and others or are pros not allowed to compete in this one. I' ll bet their (the other countries) pros are. Hopefully this will done differently next time or next year whenever this opportunity happens again. Maybe a shoot out somewhere for the right to be on this team. Or a special series of shoots for it. But for someone to just say these are the guys we' re sending, I guess that would be Ken, kind of leaves a lot of shooters wondering how to get on this prestigious team.
