Butchb, We will be setting a 30 target course. finishing all in one day should be easy. Almost everyone does just that. I hope you can make it. Be sure to let me know you are around.

Jim,

Comeing from the far east side you will take the Ohio Turnpike west to exit 135. That should put you on Baumhart Road and head south. Take Baumhart Road south to St Rt 113 West. Take 113 west to Baird Rd. south. Baird Rd. south to Bates Rd. west. The gate to the boy scout campground is on the north side of Bates rd just west of Gore Orphanage Rd. Registration is 9 till 2 on Saturday and 9 till 1 on Sunday.

From the Far west side take turnpike to exit 118. Rt 250 south to 113 east, to Birmingham. Take Green rd south to Bates Rd. Gate is just east of Green rd.

From the south take 71 north to Ashland. From Ashland take Rt 511 north to Rt 20. Rt 20 west to Gore Orphanage Rd. Gore Orphanage Rd N. to Bates and west to the campground.

From the North take a boat across Lake Erie, troll for walleye in about 25 - 35 ft of water. After you limit out call me and for a donation of fish I' ll pick you up in Vermilion.

We are going out to the scout camp Weds. evening. Got to find some " special" spots for targets. We want to make this the most fun you can legally have on a 3-D range. The club even broke out a bunch of new targets.
Anyone got a shot they love? Got one you hate?

Registration is Sat from 9 til 2, SUnday from 9 til 1.
I think entry fee is $20.(Not sure)
As of now I do not believe they have raised the entry fees for a purse.
for semi and pro. I will ask and get back to you.
It is about 2 hours from Youngstown.
Turnpike west to Baumhart Rd exit. Southe on Baunhart to 113 then right to Baird Left,then south on Baird to Bates Rd. Right on Bates to entrance.
Nice thing about the cooler weather, mosquitos will be almost non-existent still.

Zip code is 44889 and the campground is in Henrietta Twp. It may pull up better under Wakeman, Ohio. Registration times are as noted above, and the registration fee is $20.00. We will be running a " Fun Shoot" for those not wishing to shoot for qualification or championship titles. Pro & semi-pro classes are the same registration fee as everyone else. We are shooting for trophies, although if the few pro & semi-pro' s attending wish to put money into a pot, I' ll be happy to hold the funds for a cut in the action.[8D]

We staked the range tonight. It should be a very nice shoot. Remember, this is for the State Championship, and unlike some other states, we know the buckeye folks can shoot. There were only a couple of muddy areas, and most of the course is easy to walk. There are a couple of places to be careful, but no mountains to climb. As far as food goes, I heard a rumor they may be planning BBQ Chicken for Sunday, but that is just a rumor at this minute.

I sure hope a lot of you can get the opportunity to stop by. It should prove to be a good test before heading to Erie.

Sorry to hear you can' t make it. We just got in from setting the animals, and I have to say, this is a great set. Everyone should be able to take most of their toys home, but some you will have to work for. Everyone please travel safely, and we will see you all this weekend.

JDoyle, I can' t say that I blame anyone for not liking the rain. We did have several shooters come and all went home wet. The course is a little muddier now than when we set it. We will see you tommorrow morning. Travel safe.

I had a great time at the state shoot, today. No shots that had us shooting around trees or through leaves. I' m glad they listened to ya JD.;) We starting wondering when the flock of turkeys was going to appear at about target 23. They never did. I shot with two people I met for the first time. I really enjoyed shooting with Chad & Shawn from the Wooster area. I think Chad won HC with a 311. Great shooting! Hope to see you guys again this summer.

I glad to hear you all enjoyed it. Saturdays weather certainly dampened the spirtits a little, along with everything else. Sunday was simply a beutiful day. Lots of folks out having a good time.
