So far I am very happy with my Ultratec it shoots better than I do,I have a question, My draw is set at 28 Inches ,I am shooting hyper speeds 2-39 295
grains at 58 pounds the bow shoots 284 ,Someone told me they had one shooting
300 fps at 27inches ,if this is true does anyone know what I need to do,My
cables are within the performance marks and my cams are timed ,I did do some
twisting on string and cables to get my draw length closer to what I want,so Iam
not sure if I over done it and got my cams in the wrong position but like I say
they are within the marks on the cams,so if any of you 28 inch draw shooters
can let me know what your shooting for speed and how I can increase my speed.

rcher3, without knowing what all you have on your string, it would be hard to say if you should be able to get any more speed out of your bow. At 28" draw length, you are not doing too bad now.

I can tell you this.....ain`t nobody getting 300fps out of a 27" draw ultratec if they are maintaining 5 grains per pound. Not even close!

The one my friend has (same set up 28" , 58#, 305 gr arrow) puts it thru the graph at 293 with nothing on the string but a tied nock. My graph speed matches my bows speed at the ASA shoots so calibration isn' t an issue for me. Maybe it is for the 300 shooter.

THANKS FOR INFO ,i DO HAVE A SUPER PEEP AND A PEEP ALIGNER WITH
STRING LOOP,I THOUGHT 300 FEET WAS A LITTLE MUCH FOR 27" DRAW.i AM
GETTING 284 WITH 2-39 A 295 GRAIN ARROW THE CXL 150 WILL SHOOT
290 ,AND i KNOW THE SUPER PEEP AND PEEP ALIGNER WILL SLOW ME UP THANKS FOR THE REPLY

Maybe the person getting close to 300fps was shooting the spiral cam.5 if so that wouldn' t be that out of the question, really he should be at about 290 or so.

I just picked up my cybertech last week. I put 8 rubber speed buttons/release cushions at the top of the string and a teflon Bomar cable slide on and picked up 6 ft per sec from the stock string. I shoot a 28" AMO draw length at 57lbs and my arrows weigh 291 gr. She is shooting 286/287.

I have an 03 Ultratec 60# 28" AMO Spiral Cam 1/2 shooting 300 fps. I cronoed it many times with onlookers. I love to see the look on there face.:D

Now, I have a WC strings and and cables, loop, peep and two speed nocks at the bottom nothing else. 60# shooting CXL 205' s right at 5 gr per. From what I have seen the cam 1/2 can not generate theses speeds.

I shoot an 03 Razortec at 5grs per pound and 28" draw and can shoot 297fps. When I first shot the bow with these arrows I was shooting 282. There are a lot of ways to gain a little here and a little there and in my case that amounted to 15fps. To say that someone cannot shoot 300fps with a 27" draw without going below 5grs/lb is not really fair. I think it could be done. A custom string and cable set with only 12 strands will give a considerable hike in speed, then shooting the bow with the arrow going directly through the rest mounting hole in the riser and having the limb bolts tight to the riser will make the bow shoot at top performance. Then you can gain little bits with speed buttons on the string and arrow spine can even play a role. Shorten your serving to about two inches, shoot without a peep aligner, etc. There are ways to reach that 300 mark for just about everyone.
