Eleven rings are fine with me. The scoring system last year was good too!
I liked the center 12 system also.
As long as everyone is scoring the same way, everything is AOK!

It will take some time to see if the 11 ring will make a difference in the end result.
No one can say that it is bad until we get a few shoots in the books.

As long as the field is even it really doesn' t matter. Scores as a whole will be less than the previous scoring methods (using 12' s). The one thing that I don' t like is it does make it nearly impossible to make up a bad shot, and I' m talking about an 8. If you shoot one or tow 5' s you can hang it up, your not going to overcome that. If someone comes in with a 300 now, you know they were shooting dang good.

At the 1st leg of the Southern Triple Crown I shot a five and two 8' s in my first 20 targets and finished even at 200. Yes I like the 11 ring. I dropped 10 points in the next 20 and that included 2 5' s and several 8' s.
In the past when I shot an IBO event I went to the first stake thinking " I can' t mess up cause you can' t make up an 8." That is not agood way to think and it usually cost me.
So my vote goes to the 11 ring as a positive.

Thanks for the replys guys. Like i' ve said before i' ve never shot an IBO shoot. And I' m used to scoring 12s it will take me some time to get used to scoring 11s.Now I agree that it will be harder to make up points dropped, but not impossible.

Hi Folks,
My eye sight isnt good enough to see the " X" ring from 20 yds out to 35yds on a 3D target to start with. So as a " Traditional" shooter who does not use binoculars for each shot, or have a scope on his bow, it would be by chance alone that I could cut the " x" ring to get an 11.
The 5,8, 10 scoring was fine with me. The 5, 8, 10, 11 is great also. I wonder how many people that see it as an advantage to make up a shot, also use binoculars, or a scope on their bow? As a traditional shooter, I dont see an advantage.
Take care, gg
