Free Advice
I just thought I would take a minute to thank all you guys for the help. I am preparing for my first year of competition and am excited. When I posted my first message on this board I had An old Bear bow. With some good advise from you guys and a lot of research I have almost completed my new CyberTec. I have had many hobbies in the past but I have never been given such good advice before. I am not aware of the growth of archery as a sport but If I had known that the people would be so friendly I would have done it years ago! This week Some time I will be going to the bow shop for the finishing touches. Just in case your looking for a new bow here is the breakdown of what I purchased after many hours research.
Bow : Hoyt CyberTec XT2000 VersaCam Site: SureLoc Challenger Hunting Kit 6" Bar Rest: Hoyt Universal OD and a NAP Quicktune 3000 Rest Plate "Made for Hoyt Bows" Golden Key also make a Hoyt Specific Platinum premiere More $$$$ Stabilizer: Xring Carbon Multi-Rod 10" (wanted a super stix $$$) Release: Scott Mongoose (Wanted a little Extreme $$$) Arrows: Easton X7 2412 As you can see I made some sacrfices in the $$$ area trying to kep this project under 1200.00. Now if you see any Item that you are sure is a tragic mistake please let me know. It never to late to return Stuff :) Thanks Roger Edited by - grndzer on 01/18/2002 09:26:37 |
RE: Free Advice
Roger,
Sounds like you are well on your way for competition. Remember to practice judging yardage! If you have the opportunity to attend any of the IBO Nationals - do it! You'll have not only the excitement of the competition, but you'll get to see and talk to numerous vendors. As a new competitor - imagine standing along side one of the pros at the warm up bales. The IBO World Championship is in your home state in August. ![]() Edited by - n23d on 01/18/2002 15:42:58 |
